Observatory Village is governed by the Observatory Village Charitable Trust, comprising five community appointed trustees. In line with its purpose, the Trust oversees the distribution of any operating proceeds back to meeting the healthcare needs of the community.Directors have been appointed to oversee the development of the village and to support the Management team to achieve the vision of the village. They also ensure all internal and external financial, legal and auditing requirements are met. Our Care Manager and Lifecare Manager are responsible for overseeing the overall operation of the village, the management of staff and resources and ultimately the health and wellbeing of Residents.


Jane Ralston Care Manager -Jane has 30 years’ experience in Aged Care in both hands on and management positions and has worked in both corporate and independent retirement villages. Jane manages the day to day running of the Care Facility and the staff employed at Observatory Village.Jane leads a team of care professionals in our Care Centre, including a Clinical Manager, Registered Nurses and clinical support staff together with housekeepers, cleaners, kitchen and laundry services required to run our 24 hour operation.
Katrina Holywell Lifecare Manager - Katrina leads a team focused on the wellbeing of our independent living Residents, ensuring the smooth running of maintenance-free homes and grounds and providing a range of Village activities and services that make our community a special place to live.Katrina also manages the ongoing programme for the next stage of buildings alongside Sales and Marketing and overseeing the financial operations of both the village and the care facility. Katrina has 20+ years’ experience in retirement village management.
